STORY BEHIND THE PHOTO:
Duvet’s EXCLUSIVE GEM: There were hundreds of photographers/videographers, completely insane, as Mr. Gordy & Ms. Ross left the Theatre they were brought to their white Chrysler car. Bodyguards all around and people SCREAMING like a ‘Beatles’ film clip, lol. I was able to get a few good photos. Then they drive off into the Marriott Hotel thruway and people just starting screaming over other celebrities. I went to the thruway and in shock saw they were stopped with the window down and Mr. Gordy’s hand out. I ran over and was able to speak with them alone and take a couple of photos. I was so nervous I was on ‘auto-pilot’ caught off guard this would happen. I don’t remember everything I said, I was in partial ‘black-out’ mode, lol. I thanked them over and over for all their music and impact they made on the world. I told Ms. Ross I photographed her at the infamous Central Park concert 1983 and she laughed when I said, "Ms. Ross this is like a 30 year reunion." It was the most fabulous 3 minutes of my life. Mr. Gordy, Jr. & Diana Ross alone together in their car was totally history. Then they drove off….
